COVID-19 Response

We are now slowly increasing the number of patients being seen per day and starting to include routine vaccinations and elective procedures as we work through the backlog of patients that has been caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The BC College of Veterinarians, the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and the Province of BC are providing guidelines and protocols which we are still continuing to follow as they are updated. Please check back frequently for updates to be posted here.

Protocol During Office Hours

Currently owners are unable to enter our hospital and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The following protocols for appointments and pickup of supplies are being utilized.

Contactless Pickup of Medications and Food

Please either call (250-390-5131) from home (preferred) or from your car while in the parking lot and we will get any food and medication that you need. We ask you to pay for the supplies by providing your charge card number over the phone or by etransfer to wah@shaw.ca and we will place the products on the trolley outside the front door when you arrive. New plexiglass screens will be installed shortly, and we will then be able to accept debit. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cash at this time and apologize for the inconvenience.

Contact-Free Examinations and Treatments

Organized drop off appointments of your pet are currently being scheduled where we pick your pet up in the parking lot and bring them inside for a thorough examination. We can communicate with you using speakerphone during the exam or by calling you after it is complete to go over our findings and treatment recommendations. We will then return your pet to you in the parking lot.
